NaNoWriMo ’14 – The Catching Up video

Hello everyone!

Although I haven’t posted a lot lately, I thought it would be nice to give a few ‘live’ updates on what’s happening at the moment. One of them is participating in NaNoWriMo.

Check out the video on how I’m doing!

Note of warning: it’s not edited so I might be repeating myself or stop mid-sentence sometimes :p

Unwrapping Boxes 001

Hello everyone!

It’s time for another video. Last Friday I had two packages in my mail and one of them deserved a little more attention than usual. It was the first giveaway I received directly from the author (Simone van der Steeg) herself and it truly made my weekend and got me out of this slump of not being overly active lately.

You can find the lovely lady on:

For more information about her book, The Chronister Cliff, well…check it out in my video!

Enjoy 🙂

August Book Haul, 2014

Hello everyone,

It’s time for another book haul video! I’m pretending it’s still the first week of September (and not the last…) so maybe you could all try and do the same so I won’t feel entirely bad about my timing. While I was in Rome, I bought an amazing calendar to manage my time (and videos and posts) better so I truly hope that come January I’m super-mega-organised! Maybe I should make that a New Year’s resolution? Ha.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my video and don’t be afraid to leave behind comments. I’m open for new ideas or if there are any topics you’d like to see discussed in future videos or posts, don’t be scared to ask! 🙂

Until the next,

July Book Haul

Although it’s been ready to upload for weeks, it’s finally here now! It wasn’t easy to squeeze in some time to upload the video but since August is almost over, I realised this is long overdue. It’s a video about all the books I’ve bought in July while I was in London.

I hope you like it and please subscribe to my youtube channel if you want to see future videos. Again, if you want to see something in particular in future videos, let me know! Don’t be shy 🙂

P.S. I hope to post a blog entry/video on my trip to London at some time. I’m working on new content for my blog and traveling will be a part of this!

Harry Potter Spells Tag

It’s Harry Potter’s and J.K. Rowling’s birthday! Yesterday. Technically, the day before yesterday where I live because it’s already Saturday. I’ve made a video to honour this day but due to long editing process and my friends kidnapping me to spend the afternoon in the park unexpectedly, it has now arrived with a slight delay. Again. I’m getting good at this. I hope you enjoy it and please subscribe!

If you want me to cover something particular in a future video, let me know and I shall see what I can do! All suggestions are welcome.

June Book Haul

I apologise for the lateness of this video but with everything that’s been going on lately, and with me being in London, I didn’t find the time to write a post about my June book haul. The video says everything so please watch it and subscribe for more videos!

Until the next post!

P.S. sorry for the shortness of this post. It will get better. Promise!

Book Releases: March 2014

As you may or may not have noticed already, my blog has changed its lay-out (again). If you look closer, you will notice there’s a youtube video added on your right side. Why I’m telling you this? Well, this is part of a new project to change the static feel of written reviews.

Every month, I hope to post a video of some of the books that are going to be released in the next month. I’d like to mention that I don’t mean for this to sound as if these are the best books but it’s about what I felt sounded most promising (based on summary, age category, cover and stars on Goodreads, and of course what I like to read). I hope that by doing this, I will keep you up-to-date what’s next and introduce you to different books and authors.

You’re always welcome to suggest other books and if you’ve already read a book I’ve mentioned, please let me know what you thought. I’d like to know your opinions 🙂

P.S. When I talk about the books in my video, it’s based upon the summaries I found on the internet (Goodreads, fictiondb, etc.) because I haven’t read them either. I apologize if I make wrong assumptions because of this. I do hope to review the books later with a more accurate summary. Thanks for your understanding.
